Wow classic disenchanting
Classic is getting close, and today marks the first post on classic goldmaking! Every Monday I will be writing about goldmaking in classic so you can all get that sweet epic mount.
We will be doing some theorycrafting for a while, and everything will be in flux at the beginning, so buckle in. The first topic is the goldmaking mainstay enchanting shuffle. The enchanting shuffle has generally been based around buying cloth, crafting a tailoring item en masse, then disenchanting it into dust and essences that you can sell on the AH. I think shuffles will be great in classic. There are a TON more enchants in classic than in Bfa, and they use a wide variety of materials.
This makes the end game dust and essences very sought after. The various rare and epic shards are also likely to be very highly in demand and there may be shuffling opportunities to engage in for those as well. There are 5 levels of enchanting materials in classic representing different item levels. Classic has more types of enchanting materials than BfA though as in addition to the common dust, rare shards and epic crystals you have uncommon items called essences.
The three classes of items you can disenchant will have different potential drops. Rare items will yield some amount of rare shards and epic items will yield some number of rare crystals. Dust is typically used in much larger quantities than essences so they are usually the main focus for any shuffle based on uncommon items.
To find out if a shuffle is profitable the easy way is to take the price of the average number of dust you get per disenchant and compare it to the cost of the needed materials.
Essence value can be very different with essences being hugely in demand, and some having very low. If the essence is actually valuable you can include it in the calculation, but then you would need to use some kind of spreadsheet. Disenchanting yields in classic will be different for every item. Unlike in BfA where every uncommon BfA item yields the same amount of dust.
The best items will therefore balance time spent crafting versus the cost of crafting and the materials you get. Crafting lots of bolts or crafting too many items can quickly limit your profits as you get limited by time. Strange dust is the entry level material for Enchanting. The essences at this level are typically much lower in value as they are not used much for leveling. The major use case for the dust will be players leveling enchanting.
Silk cloth will let you craft items in the right item level range to give you Soul Dust and Astral Essence. This is the first shuffle I ever learned. The best recipe used to be White Bandit Mask, which is a world drop, so keep an eye out on the AH, it only requires a single bolt of mageweave for an average of 3. In this tier both Mageweave Cloth and runecloth based items can fall in the right item level.
This is the end-game shuffle for max level materials. It is used in a lot of the best enchants in the game and Wizard Oil which is the prefered weapon oil for casters. It will obviously have strong demand just like end-game materials always have had.
It may be possible to shuffle for the various shards and crystals. It is however a little to hard to gauge the prices of the various rare crafting materials to give any tips on which recipes could be worth it, so we will just have to wait and see.
To get there you need materials as in the table below. As we see Dream Dust stands out as the most numerous one by far, followed by Strange dust and Vision Dust.
Strange dust has a very low barrier to entry and will thus have less value than the others. On the Essence front we see that Nether and Magic essence stick out.
Magic essences are once again quite easy to get, so the Nether shuffles will be great. This is one of the main reasons why the Vision dust shuffle is so good. Enchanting focuses on imbuing weapons and armor with magical empowerments.
To do that, they Disenchant already empowered items and turn them into usable Dusts, Essences and Shards to be the materials for their Enchantments. Because of this skill, it is strongly suggested to learn this profession as early as you can, so you can start to Disenchant any Uncommon green or better items you find to obtain the necessary materials. In this guide, we will go over how to take advantage of this profession, how to quickly level it up, and how to use your enchants effectively.
If you are a Cloth Armor user, you should consider Tailoringwhich, just like Enchanting, does not rely on gathered materials, making the two professions easy to pair. This also has the advantage of being able to Disenchant Tailoring products either crafted during leveling your profession, or intentionally made to be Disenchant ed, which we have listed in the Obtaining Enchanting Materials from Tailoring section.
If you are not a Cloth Armor user, Enchanting can also be paired with any of the other gathering professions such as HerbalismSkinning or Mining to make a nice earning on the side.
You can learn Enchanting from any Enchanting trainer, who you can find in most capital cities usually that of your race, such as Orgrimmar for Orcs or Ironforge for Dwarves and Gnomes. When you arrive in your city, you can ask any City Guard for directions. After asking for the Enchanting trainer, it will be marked on your map, allowing you to go to them and learn Enchanting, as well as new formulas as you level it up.
Below is a select list of Enchanting trainers that we have compiled for you. All capital cities have a Journeyman and an Expert trainer, except Darnassus, so we listed the highest level trainer of each capital city. To learn Artisan Enchanting, you will need to go to Uldaman Dungeonsee our Artisan section for details.
You should note that, to learn Expert and Artisan Enchanting, you will need to speak to special trainers see our Expert and Artisan sections for details. Enchanters need a special crafted Runed Rod to apply their enchants to items. When you learn this profession, you will also learn how to craft your first one, a Runed Copper Rod.
As you increase your skill in Enchanting, you will also craft stronger ones to apply higher level enchants. To provide the materials, you will use the Disenchant skill on armor and weapons which are at least Uncommon green quality level. By disenchanting an item, you will turn it into enchanting materials such as Dusts, Essences, Shards or Crystals, and by doing so, you will destroy that item permanently.
Take care with what you choose to Disenchantso you do not regret it later. If you choose the wrong item to Disenchantdo not panic: simply press the "Escape" key or move your character before you complete the Disenchant cast and it will cancel, saving the item.
Also, you can apply enchants to other players via the Trade interface. When a player wants you to apply an enchant to their items, they or you will open a Trade and put their items on the "Will not to be traded" slot. Apply the enchant to that item by first choosing the desired formula and apply it to the item there.
In order to level Enchanting efficiently, you will want to craft orange items in your profession menu whenever it is cheap to do so, as it guarantees a skill up per craft. If you cannot craft something orangeyellow is an acceptable alternative, as these usually give skill ups. Green recipes will rarely grant you a skill point, making them only worth it when the alternatives are scarce or expensive. This Classic WoW Enchanting Leveling Guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to get level your Enchanting skill up from 1 to Enchanting goes well with Tailoring because you don't need a gathering profession to support either of these.
If you level Tailoring and Enchanting together, then you can disenchant most items you craft. If you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt, I recommend using Zygor's Leveling Guide.
The guide is in a small window on your main screen in-game. All the detail that you need to complete the quest is included. Just click on any of these links below to see the trainer's exact location.
You can also walk up to a guard in any city and ask where the Enchanting trainer is, then it will be marked with a red flag on your map. They are usually near your trainer, so don't buy it from the Auction House. You can only train Enchanting past 75 if you learn Journeyman Enchanting.
Not every Enchanting trainer will teach you this skill, you have to find an Expert Enchanter. Requires level These are limited supply recipes.
If someone bought them before you, then you have to wait for it to respawn. I'm not sure about the exact respawn timer, but it's between min. Make the recipe below if Astral essence is expensive on your realm and you can find cheap Small Glimmering Shards. To become an Expert Enchanter you need to reach level 20 and level up Enchanting tothen find an Expert Enchanting trainer. There is only one Expert Enchanting trainer for each faction. Kitta Firewind in Elwynn Forest is the Alliance trainer.
She is at the top level of the Tower of Azora. He is up on the hill, there's a steep path that leads up behind Tammra Windfield. It's not easily noticeable. This one turns yellow athowever, if 2 Soul Dust is a lot cheaper than 1 Lesser Mystic Essence, keep making these until To become an Artisan Enchanter you need to reach level 35 and level up Enchanting tothen find an Artisan Enchanting trainer. Annora in Uldaman is the only trainer that can teach you Artisan Enchanting.
There are a couple of recipes that only Annora can teach you, so you should bring enough gold to learn every recipe and enough enchanting materials to reach Enchanting Else you would have to go back to Uldaman again for the higher level recipes.
In total, you will need The Uldaman instance is located in Badlands.

It has two entrances, you should enter from the back entrance. You can't solo Uldaman at level 35, so you either have to go there with a party or ask a level 60 to help you out.Welcome to our guide for Enchanting in WoW Classic!
Enchanting is a primary profession that allows players to add permanent buffs to weapons and equipment, as well as the ability to make Wands, consumables and reagents used by some other professions.
Enchanters also have access to the Disenchant spell, which allows you to destroy objects for materials used for Enchant objects or sold on the Auction House. Enchanting can be efficient and very useful for both PvE and PvP situations because it is used extensively. This guide will cover the enchanting aspects such as recommended second primary professions and classes, how to enchant and acquire enchanting recipes and objects, how to use enchanting rods, trainer locations, and a suggested route to take your Enchanting Skill Points to level Before we jump into it, you should know that wow gold collectors also learn the Disenchant ability while practising Enchanting.
Things that cannot be equipped cannot be disenchanted, except for bags because they are equipped.
To enchant an object, the Enchanter is required to have a rod in its inventory. You will need various rods as you level up your skill, all of which can be made from your Enchanting Spell book.
Rods are further clarified within this guide. Enchanting is a primary profession, and in Classic WoW you can have only two primary professions active at once. Enchanting combines well with Tailoring, Leatherworking or Blacksmithing, as these professions produce equipment that can be disenchanted. Tailoring is normally combined with Enchanting because you can loot the fabric you need for tailored pieces without having to learn a trade of collecting such as skinning for leatherwork.
Then these tailored pieces can be Disenchanted into dust. Enchanting is important to craft the Smoking Heart of the Mountain Trinket for druids interested in Tanking, but it can be dropped after crafting. Tailoring goes well with Enchanting, as discussed in the section above, and cloth-wearers will outfit and profit from designed tailoring gears. Enchants can also produce Wizard Oils which casters can use as consumables. Using the Trade Gui you can enchant your own equipment, as well as other faction matches.
Open a trade and have your player position their item at the bottom of the window in the "will not be traded" section. In the Profession UI select the desired enchant and then click on the object. How to Make Gold with Disenchanting in World of Warcraft
Enchanters will order tips to provide players with unique enchantments, so if you have a special recipe you may want to advertise in Trade. If you have an Enchanting Rod in your Stock, you won't be able to enchant an object. Apprentice and Journeyman Enchanting Trainers are based in major cities; if you don't know where to find them, ask for help from a city guard and they'll put a golden red flag on your map.

The profession has always been a staple of the game, with the added utility and damage bonuses offered through the enchantments. In WoW Classic, enchanting will also be crucial for those looking to min-max their character in preparation for raiding. The enchanting skill is probably the most useful profession in the entire game.
Enchanters can add additional stats to several armor pieces, but they can also enchant weapons to do additional damage.
This also makes the weapon cosmetically glow, another reason players will seek out an enchanter. In addition to adding stats to gear, enchanters can disenchant magical items of green quality or higher.
This will convert the gear into enchanting materials, which are required to cast new enchants. Tailoring uses cloth found from monster drops to craft cloth armor for squishies. As with most other professions, early skill levels of enchanting can be learned at any major city. Uldaman is a five-man dungeon located within the Badlands. It is known as an ancient Titan vault, and rightfully is filled with troggs and titanic constructs.
It is recommended for players in the mid-high 40s level-wise, although can be entered as early as level You still might have a difficult time at that level, as the instance is certainly geared towards higher level players. Pick up enchanting as soon as possible! This will also save you bag space in case you decided to hoard your green items for later. You can also offer to enchant the armor of other players as you skill up, who will often either pay or tip you for your services. This can help recover the cost of acquiring materials. You can also enchant your own armor and reapply the same enchant multiple times. Be careful about what you disenchant!
You can absolutely disenchant a strong item by accident. If you took off some armor or a weapon for cosmetic purposes, you might accidentally disenchant a piece. Enchanters require the use of a special tool to cast their enchantments. You can find all of these materials from a enchanting supplies vendor found next to a trainer. The next step in your enchanting journey is extremely simple. Simply cast enchant bracer — minor health until you reach 75 enchanting.
